Motamed Cancer Institute (formally known as Breast Cancer Research Center) was founded in 1996 as a research and treatment facility in breast diseases with the aim of research, education and treatment services for people with breast disease.
In alignment with the current and long-term objectives of this center in providing treatment facilities for other cancers such as sarcoma, this center was renamed to Motamed Cancer Institute (MCI) in 2016.
MCI has more than two decades of experience in research and treatment of breast disease. This center provides all medical services to patients with breast disease such as diagnostic and treatment services. In addition, bench to bedside research is conducted by over 10 research groups of MCI which has resulted in numerous scientific papers in national and international forums.
